Sure, your laces are clean, no scuffs on the toe, you’ve got the new SB Dunks on reserve, and a closet filled with pristine kicks back at home. But did you know that blowing half your paycheck on shoes might actually be worth more than looking fresh?
A new poll shows that people who buy three or more pairs of sneakers per year are much more likely to possess superior leadership skills than those who don’t.
From the article:
Mindset Media, a media company that examines personality traits of different consumers, found that people who buy more than three pairs of sneakers a year are 61 percent more likely to have the qualities of a modern leader.
Additionally, the survey, which included 7,500 participants, found that these traits defied all categorical lines. “What is interesting is that these personality traits held true across the board, regardless of age, income, or gender,” said Mindset Media spokeswoman, Lauren Arvanio.
Besides having leadership skills, the poll showed that sneaker-heads “were 50 percent more likely to be very assertive and 47 percent more likely to be spontaneous.” And people wonder why hipster parties look like this.
