
Don’t get me wrong, there have been tons of truly amazing football players in the ranks of the NCAA - but there are a rare few that deserve recognition. Some have committed murder, yet others have gone on to illustrious careers that led to the Hall of Fame - some have done both. Cheers gentlemen!

10. Vince Young -Texas
In the 2006 Rose Bowl, he completed 30 of 40 passes for 267 yards and carried the ball 19 times for 200 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Those 200 rushing yards set a Bowl game rushing record by a QB. He was named Rose Bowl MVP for the second time in his career.
9. Tommy Nobis – Texas
He averaged nearly 20 tackles a game as a two time All-American linebacker and made the All-Southwest Conference team three times. Nobis also played on both defense and offense for his entire college career, playing guard on the offensive side of the ball.
8. Roger Staubach – Navy
As a junior in 1963, he won the Heisman Trophy and the Maxwell Award, while leading the Midshipmen to a 9-1 record and No. 2 final ranking. In his three seasons at Navy, he completed 292 of 463 passes, with only 19 interceptions, and gained a school record 4,253 yards of total offense.
