William Jacobson, 19, a freshman at Ithaca College, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning after divers from the New York State Police recovered his body from a pond on Farm Road on the I.C. campus at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Friends described Jacobson as an “incredibly talented student with many close friends and so much potential.” She stated that Jacobson’s death is “a loss not just for the campus community but for all who knew him.”

A vigil will be held Tuesday night evening at 8:00 p.m. at I.C.’s Muller Chapel. [Cornell Daily Sun]

The Second Annual “Undie Run” was held on a chilly April 29 at 8PM. Students met at the Carrier Dome on the last day of classes to celebrate and de-stress by running a loop around the campus in their skivvies. [CollegeOTR]

Ivy League Prof Sues Students For Being Mean to Her

A Dartmouth lecturer is suing her class for discrimination, as she revealed in a series of regrettable and bizarre emails that promptly ended up all over Dartmouth blogs.

Priya Venkatesan (Dartmouth ‘90, MS in Genetics, PhD in literature) emailed members of her Winter ‘08 Writing 5 class Saturday night to announce her intention to seek damages from them for their being mean to her. The email, and so, so much more, at Gawker.

That seems to be the message after a little investigation on our part. Once again in the blogging spotlight due to her newest photos, Cal seems to have put up an embargo with all things Stokke. In a world where strippers make more money than most political figures, is it wrong to teach the youth of today the art of pole-dancing?

The answer is a resounding YES.

In Australia, kids - I’m talking kids, like 7-year-old girls and boys - are being registered (by their parents, mind you) to take pole-dancing lessons.

Yes: everybody knows that strippers are well-toned athletes and intense trainers that go for the Olympic Gold every time they bleach their ******* and dollar bills get stuffed straight up their G-strings by old pervs.

When did throwing the ball around become too passe? When I was a strapping young man I would chop wood and shingle roofs to get my bod looking like this guys.

Now we have kids not old enough to handle their no-no parts correctly gyrating and shimmying up stripper poles in the name of exercise.

Grab an axe and chop away, young boy - at the very least you’ll be able to fend off anybody who attempts to kick your ass when they hear about your past experience sliding down a stripper pole.

And girls? Don’t worry - you’ll have plenty of time in the future to handle poles.
