Romney To Be McCains VEEP
Sen. John McCain will choose businessman
and former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt
Romney as Vice President, in his bid for the
White House this November, a source closely
connected with the McCain campaign, who
asked to remain anonymous, told us earlier
this afternoon.

“How the hell did the publisher of the ‘Top
20 Side-Boobs of All Time‘ get this scoop,”
you must be asking yourself, right now.

Leaving Dorm Life: Finding Off-Campus Housing

leaving-dorm-life.jpg

In college there are certain rites of passage: drunken (and regrettable) sexual encounters, the subsequent trips to student health, and then…well. Nevermind.

But at any rate, college is in a lot of ways like a training ground for the real world, and while you can f*ck up quite a bit and emerge virtually unscathed, a wise man once said “Tis better to…” uhh..actually, I’m pretty sure I slept through that class.

If I could remember that quote, it would have been something about learning from the mistakes of others. So in that spirit, here is our guide to leaving the dorm behind and getting your first apartment.

Beware of Crooked Landlords
Despite their regal-sounding title, many landlords are typically less than honorable in their treatment of college students. Maybe it’s their inability to cope with the number of upper-decked toilets they’ve had to clean over the years, but most landlords aren’t willing to provide college students with much more than the basic amenities provided to a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

OK, bit of a stretch, but one thing landlords do know is that college students are generally a lazy bunch, and that given a standard “adjustment period”, most students can generally learn to happily co-exist with the mice and vermin sharing their abode. Read More »

COED Vault: Girls Go Wild on Facebook

Here’s an oldie by a goodie from the COED Vault - Girls Love to Flaunt Drunken Madness on Facebook where a series of seven galleries, each representing seven different major US colleges shows how Facebook is being used as a tool for girls to flaunt how drunk and wild they get in college.

Four Fatal School Shootings in One Week–Why?

t1home2044victimsap.jpg February 8th: Female student shoots two fellow students to death before ultimately killing herself at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge.

February 11th: 17-year-old student shoots and critically wounds a fellow student during high school gym period in Memphis, TN.

February 12th: 14-year-old boy shoots a classmate, 15, at junior high school in Oxnard, CA. The victim is declared brain dead.

These three shootings preceded the most recent school tragedy to take America by the heartstrings. February 14th, 2008 will not go down in history as just another Valentine’s Day: instead, it will be remembered as the day of another fatal college campus massacre, this time, at Northern Illinois University.

Six people, including gunman Steven P. Kazmierczak, were shot to death, with 14 more shot and wounded. The gunman appeared from behind a curtain in a geology class minutes before the period ended and began to open fire. Read More »

Best College Sports Bars

sports bar

One of the first things every college student should locate when they hit campus is the best place to catch the game. Sure watching it in your room with a bag of Cheetos can be fun, but nothing beats catching it with a few thousands of your classmates. And the students on these campuses have it way better then the rest. Read More »

Girls Love to Flaunt Drunken Madness on Facebook

drunk college girls

Here is my response to the UK’s Daily Mail article titled “The ladettes who glorify their shameful drunken antics on Facebook”:

“Drunken antics” points out how Facebook is being used as a tool for girls to flaunt how drunk and wild they get in college. I know this sounds like an oxymoron; but just look at the Facebook group “30 Reasons Girls Should Call It A Night” for proof.

Over 157,000+ skanky members and growing by the minute.

What I expected to be an article featuring telling photographic proof of the graphic “gone wild” antics of college girls turned out to be a PG-censored fest. Very disappointing!

At first I assumed that I was the only person who felt they were duped into clicking the story by an eye-catching, NSFW-esque title, but apparently I wasn’t - just look at the disgruntled Digg comment board for the story!

To help everyone better understand the drunken antics of today’s college girls I have compiled a series of seven galleries, each representing seven different major US colleges.

***All pictures were taken from Facebook, thus proving there is indeed drunken madness going down 24/7 on college campuses…and girls love to flaunt it on Facebook!***
