“Second Skin” Trailer Tells It Like It Is

While casual players of MMOs may not see the big deal, it’s plain as day to the rest of the planet: hardcore gaming has taken on a disturbing level of obsession. Players log in ungodly amounts of time playing titles such as World of Warcraft and Everquest, effectively ostracizing them from the outside world. Video games, like watching television and playing sports, are simply a source of entertainment - but when do they become less of a leisure activity and more of an addiction?
Second Skin is out to set the record straight, touching on not only the obsessive gamers - the trailer seems not to point fingers at the games, but at the player’s themselves, which is fair - but the relationships they forge with like-minded people worldwide. These gaming communities are strong, but some turn their players into anti-social shut ins, concerned with gaming and nothing else.

The monster turned out scarier than expected:
I knew J.J. Abrams wouldn’t let me down.
“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” Trailer
Look, I understand why people are sick of hearing Judd Apatow’s name every second. Nonetheless, check the record: Knocked Up was almost perfect (too long, and the DVD extended it!), Superbad was a riot for the most part and Walk Hard will at least be a great watch with funny cameos. That’s hardly a reason to bitch. Place your statements about overrated director/producers elsewhere.
Give these guys credit. What other comedy stable lets every player star in a lead role?
Jason Segel is next up to bat with Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which deals with Apatow’s favorite subject: well-meaning emotional dudes that still f*** up once a while (or all the time).
Segel plays your average funny schmuck that gets dumped by his celeb girlfriend. He takes a vacation to Hawaii to “get away,” and ends up finding his ex cuddling up with her new boyfriend, a “rock star” along the lines of Dave Navarro mixed with the Pick-Up Artist for comedic measure.
It could be worse: Dane Cook could be writing his latest atrocity as we speak. Be thankful.
