Winning Titles from the 25th Annual AVAs

The 25th annual AVN Awards took place in Las Vegas over the weekend, and as expected, Evil Anal 2 won for Best Couples Scene. I mean really - was there any competition? With that said, I was quite shocked to see A** Worship 10 take home the award for Best Anal-Themed Release.

(Anal-themed! Seriously, that is undeniably awesome.)

Guys love pornos for their ridiculous movie titles as much as the content within (well…almost as much). How could I ever forget my first video, I Saw Mommy Eating Santa Claus? Poetry in motion.

“Sticking It” To the Man!

Steve York - Koala TVSteve York, a 22-year-old senior at the University of California San Diego, asked himself a question - “To Porn or Not to Porn?”

While serving as editor of The Koala (a satirical magazine known for printing irreverent and controversial material) last year he decided as a pet project to being back Koala TV, a show that used to run every week on the campus TV station SRTV with the same irreverent nature as the magazine.

How irreverent you ask? The show was taken off the air six years ago for airing a Jenny McCarthy porn tape.

It probably had better ratings then Jenny.

So bring it back he did, and if you’re going to air porn, why not have the fun yourself?

“We decided in February, for something funny to do, to do a real quick amateur tape, like 10 minutes of me and a lady friend,â€? York told COED. “We aired it once, and it generated a little talk, but the school paper asked me to run it again so they could get some pictures, and they ended up running on front page.â€? Bye Bye Porn Industry!

pornNo, I’m not saying that it’s gone for good, but with recent online advancements, the huge industry is going down.

The New York Times reports that “the established pornography business is in decline — and the Internet is being held responsible. The online availability of free or low-cost photos and videos has begun to take a fierce toll on sales of X-rated DVDs. Inexpensive digital technology has paved the way for aspiring amateur pornographers, who are flooding the market, while everyone in the industry is giving away more material to lure paying customers.”

Some of these amateur photographers happen to be college students. Take the example of Indiana University co-ed, Keira, who caught a lot of heat for the amateur soft core porn site she was running out of her dorm room.

With free options like this, who needs to go out to the store and actually spend money on a DVD?
